Working Pack Dog

Working Pack Dog falls under the category of sled sports and is something our dogs have really excelled at and enjoyed. To earn a Working Pack Dog title the dog must hike 4 x 16km (usually over 4 separate days) and carry a percentage of their body weight in their packs. For standard pack dog this is 30%, for the novice level it is 15%. Consumables such as liquids and dog food/treats can be packed and consumed along the hike. This is a winter sport due to temperature regulations and it is essential your dog is fit and appropriate pack training has been done prior to competing.
